Living in a landmark

This early 20th century neoclassical manor was once owned by DC socialite Eleanor “Cissy” Patterson.

She was well known for hosting grand parties where guests mingled to the sounds of live jazz. In the 1920s, President Coolidge resided here while the White House was being renovated, hosting many distinguished visitors including Charles Lindbergh.

The mansion reclaimed its prominence a few decades later as the gathering place for the Washington Club, an esteemed women’s social organization. And now, as Ampeer, we rekindle the social spark which defined the Patterson Mansion for so long.
